Dear New Year
Dear New Year,
2020 has been rough, but it’s also been rich. It was overflowing with emotions and experiences. Lots of lessons to be learned, truths to be faced, words that needed to be said, and words that needed to be swallowed. I have never met a year that has been as packed as this one. No expectations attached, I can only guess and dream about what the universe has in store for me next.
If I should pick just one line to describe this year, it would be ‘never say never'. Life is full of twists and turns, and while we might need to reinvent ourselves on the go from time to time, we also need to learn to accept it just the way it is. Often unpredictable, sometimes scary, even sad at times, but still beautiful and worth living.
Dear 2020, thank you for reminding me how strong I am.
Dear 2021, I hope you will be gentle and kind, but in the end I’ll have to trust the process and go with the flow, won’t I?
Let’s do this. I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.
